Weekend Staycation Time!

Hey there, Bitung City Ambassadors! 🌴

Can you believe it's already been over a week since our very first ambassador set foot in Bitung Digital Nomad Village?

Time sure has its own pace here in Bitung, especially with more global citizens joining us, like all you awesome Digital Nomads.

So, let's wrap up what's been happening in the village this past week:

🚌 On Saturday, September 16th, our ambassadors were treated to a city tour by the mayor and a representative from the Bitung Government.

As a bonus, they also enjoyed a weekend boat trip to one of our beautiful islands.

🚣‍♀️ Sundays are rest days for all our BDNV Villagers (the Digital Nomads) as most of the Batuputih Villagers attend church in the morning.

But in the afternoon, things heat up with a thrilling Boat Racing Event at Mulu Kuala Beach. It's like an F1 race, but with boats—pretty exciting stuff!

💡Mondays are all about Innovation Camp. Some of our BDNV Villagers took the stage as speakers and panelists for discussions on 4 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

They teamed up with local students to brainstorm solutions for their chosen SDGs. Later in the day, we had a Welcome Party and the official launch of Batuputih as Indonesia's first Digital Nomad Village, graced by the Mayor of Bitung, Ir. Maurits Mantiri, M.M.

✨ Tuesdays kicked off with a mastermind session where BDNV Villagers brainstorm community activities and ideas to make Bitung Digital Nomad Village even better for future nomads. Some also discovered fantastic diving spots and happily shared their findings with fellow villagers.

🏋️ For those fitness enthusiasts, you can break a sweat in the village gym, join the locals for some volleyball or football, or simply take a leisurely stroll around the village.

During village tours, our BDNV Villagers, guided by locals, visited the fishing area, mosque, and Tampa Fufu (Traditional Coconut Smoke Oven used for preparing coconut meat into Coconut Oil).

 🥽 And don't forget our weekend staycations! Every Friday to Sunday, our team picks up the BDNV Villagers, makes a pit stop for shopping and ATM, and then heads to Cocotinos Lembeh, a charming dive lodge.

The next day, it's off to Batuangus to explore the savanna, treehouses, viewing tower, and Batuangus Beach. Fun fact: BDNV Village is in Batuputih (white stone), while Batuangus means charred stone.

Then, it's a boat ride to Lembeh Island and Pulau Cinta (Love Island, not the game show) for some snorkeling fun.
